Smith’s Tamarind (Diploglottis smithii) is a native rainforest fruit from Northern Queensland. The fruit are big and red with a juicy flesh and a very deep rich tamarind flavour that can be added into curries, sauces, marinades, or simply sprinkle on a salad for a native flavour to your seasoning. It has a sharp intense flavour so a little goes a long way.
All our fruit is harvested from our family farm in the Northern Rivers of NSW from original plantings that were established over 20 years ago. All of our Native Australian foods are grown pesticide and chemical free and we always strive to operate under sustainable practises.
